Support Staff Temporary Part-time Contract
The Practice Application Specialist (PAS) is a key member of the teaching/learning team. They play an important role in supporting the integration of theoretical knowledge into practice by demonstrating, supervising, mentoring, coaching, and assessing nursing skills for students enrolled in programs in the School of Health & Life Sciences.
The PAS will assist in preparing students to apply the required skills that must be demonstrated within the laboratory/clinical environment and facilitates student activities and resources in the Open Access Lab environment. The incumbent acts as a resource to students, faculty and community practicum staff and promotes their program to stakeholders in the placement community.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. The incumbent will work up to 24 hours per week at various campus locations (Milton, Brantford, Doon, Downtown Kitchener, Guelph) and long-term care facilities as assigned by the college. The hours of work for this position may include a variety of shifts such as days, evenings, and weekends up to 24 hours a week.
